There are several methods for applying additives to apparel. We used two methods, the first one was mixing the additive with printing paste and then applying by screen printing on the apparel. Another method is applied by the exhaust method, the method involves the gradual transfer of additive from an additive bath to the textile material in the same piece of equipment.
Test Results
The test was carried out to determine which is the effective method for applying the additive on apparel. The results show that the exhaust method is more effective than the printing method, which can reduce 61,02 gr CO2 /year and 12,87 gr CO2/year for the printing method.
